Pastoral Care Coordinator (Years 7 to 10)

As part of Sirius College’s extra-curricular activities, the school has organized Pastoral Care programs for students.

The Pastoral Care Department is responsible for the promotion and maintenance of the social, spiritual and emotional wellbeing of both staff and students. The department works in coordination with teachers and families. All activities are optional but highly recommended.

A Pastoral Care Teacher is assigned for each class and a Mentor is assigned for each class. The mentor is a university student who acts as a role model and assists and supports the PCT. Throughout the year, we will be doing many activities together with the class.

These activities can range from playing soccer matches, go karting, cinemas and camps. We will also have study and reading sessions after school with the students.

For all activities that we will be organising, parents will be sent consent forms though our online system. These consent forms must be completed as required in order for students to be allowed to attend. We will have regular programs on specific days during the week (details of which are provided in this notice) but the time and day of some activities may change - students will be notified if changes need to be made from time to time.

Our first upcoming event will be an intercampus friendly soccer tournament to be held in our Campus for Year 9 to Year 10 Boys on the 4th of March and Year 7 and 8 students will be going to Keysborough Campus at the same day. Most of the teams are eager and ready to play in such competitive tournaments. As teachers we wish the best of lucks to our teams.

If you have any questions about our programs, please feel free to contact our school.

Kindest regards,
Halis Ozyurek
